This Sustainability/Quality of Life Partnership Group meets periodically to discuss how overall quality of life will be impacted by the growth at Fort Carson and to address the topic of sustainability in the region. The group includes business/community leaders, grassroots organizations and representatives from Fort Carson.
During Phase Two, the group has a unique focus on supporting the development a Sustainability Action Plan for Economic Development. This Action Plan will achieve three things:
- Vision – Establish an overarching vision for the four-county region for how local governments and the private and non-profit sectors can benefit from the growth of Fort Carson’s sustainability efforts.
- Plan – Develop a long-term action plan to achieve the vision.
- Measures of Success – Identify appropriate evaluation measures to determine progress toward success and trigger-points for modifying the plan/vision.
