AGENDA ITEM 1: CALL TO ORDER/ESTABLISH A QUORUM/INTRODUCTIONS

Chair Debi Levin-Stankevich called the meeting to order at 10:00. A quorum was present.

AGENDA ITEM 2: AGENDA APPROVAL

Laura Kronick motioned to approve the meeting agenda and RoseMary Jaramillo seconded. The motion passed unanimously.

AGENDA ITEM 3: CONSENT ITEMS

These items will be acted upon as a whole, unless they are called up for discussion by a council member or a citizen wishing to address the council.

  1. Approval of the minutes from the June meeting. Laura Kronick motioned to approve and RoseMary Jaramillo seconded. The motion passed unanimously.

AGENDA ITEM 4: PUBLIC COMMENTS

Public comment can be made before or during the meeting. Public comment during the meeting is limited to three minutes and can be done at the meeting location or remotely by using the posted Microsoft Teams link. Individuals are encouraged to notify the meeting organizer at ppacg@ppacg.org before the start of the meeting with the agenda item they would like to comment on. Public comments can be submitted before the meeting via email to ppacg@ppacg.org for distribution to committee members.

AGENDA ITEM 6: INFORMATION ITEMS

  1. Presentations
    1. Lucy Crandall has been promoted to manage the Family Caregiver Program at PPAAA. Kent Mathews is retiring and the transition is going smoothly. Lucy shared her experience as a family caregiver with PPAAA and event updates.
    2. Kent Mathews will be celebrated at an event on July 31st.
  2. Membership Subcommittee
    1. No updates.
  3. Strategic Review Subcommittee
    1. No updates.
  4. TRS Subcommittee RFP dates and meetings
    1. Currently no chair for this subcommittee.
    2. We received our allocation from the state in late June but were able to execute provider contracts by July 1, 2024. Staff are working with three new providers on executive their contracts now that we have our final state allocation
  5. AAA Director’s Report
    1. Jody Barker continues advocacy efforts to address funding shortfalls, as our overall funding is not keeping pace with need. PPAAA continues to assess where to reduce expenses so that funds are directed to service provision. Mr. Barker is requesting stories to share with legislators; RAC members are encouraged to join in legislative visits.
    2. Laura Crews has accepted a position with Lake County, and her last day with PPACG is August 15th.
  6. RAC Chair Report
    1. Chair Debi Levin-Stankevich shared that she attended the most recent Quarterly Provider Meeting which included a comprehensive annual training. She encouraged other RAC members to attend Quarterly Provider Meetings in the future as a way to learn more about what is required of providers.

Chair Debi Levin-Stankevich adjourned the meeting at 11:00 a.m.
