AGENDA ITEM 1: CALL TO ORDER/ESTABLISH A QUORUM/INTRODUCTIONS
Second vice-chair Victoria Chavez called the meeting to order at 1:30 pm.
AGENDA ITEM 2: AGENDA APPROVAL
Allison Burns motioned to approve; Ben Schmitt seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
AGENDA ITEM 3: PUBLIC COMMENTS/PRESENTATIONS
None.
AGENDA ITEM 4: APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES* (May 16, 2024)
Dawn Collins motioned to approve; Allison Burns seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
AGENDA ITEM 5: BOARD OF DIRECTORS REPORT
PPACG staff provided an overview of the June Board items.
AGENDA ITEM 6: ACTION ITEMS
- Traffic Data Service – Streetlight*
Will Mast, GIS Admin & Modeling Lead, discussed the purchase of a traffic data service for the region. This will be completed using Surface Transportation Program (STP) dollars with Colorado Springs and El Paso County providing the local match for the purchase. Abha Dwivedy motioned to recommend approval of the purchase; Dawn Collins seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
AGENDA ITEM 7: INFORMATION ITEMS
- Active Transportation Plan
Jason O’Brien, Sr. Transportation Planner, provided an overview of the active transportation plan status. Kyle McLaughlin, of Olsson, discussed the development of the plan with the TAC. TAC members were asked to provide comments on the proposed regional corridors. TAC also discussed potential aspirational facility standards and timeframes and top regional priorities. - Construction Coordination
John Liosatos, Transportation Director, discussed the potential coordination of construction activities within the region. - LRTP Updates – Standing Agenda Item *
Danelle Miller, Sr. Transportation Planner, provided an overview of status of the long range transportation plan development. - TIP Updates – Standing Agenda Item
Jessica Bechtel, Transportation Programming & Project Delivery Planner, noted that she is working with the jurisdictions and CDOT on project roll forwards for fiscal year 2025. - CDOT Updates – Standing Agenda Item
Kathleen noted that the Transportation Commission was meeting at the same time as TAC and were anticipated to discuss PD-14 among other items. Rob Frei and John Hall provided updates on CDOT Region 2 activities and potential future funding changes to projects. - IIJA Updates and Other Funding Opportunities – Standing Agenda Item *
