AGENDA ITEM 1: CALL TO ORDER / ESTABLISH A QUORUM / INTRODUCTIONS

 Chair Stankevich called the meeting to order at 10:04.

AGENDA ITEM 2: AGENDA APPROVAL

Ms. Jo Ruth motioned to approve the agenda, Ms. Laura Kronick seconded.  The motion passed unanimously.

AGENDA ITEM 3: CONSENT ITEMS

These items will be acted upon as a whole, unless they are called up for discussion by a council member or a citizen wishing to address the council.

  1. Approval of the minutes from the August 22, 2024 meeting*. Mr. Gordon Rick motioned to approve the minutes, Ms. Jo Ruth seconded.  The motion passed unanimously.

AGENDA ITEM 4: PUBLIC COMMENTS

  1. Public comment can be made before or during the meeting. Public comment during the meeting is limited to three minutes and can be done at the meeting location or remotely by using the posted Microsoft Teams link. Individuals are encouraged to notify the meeting organizer at ppacg@ppacg.org before the start of the meeting with the agenda item they would like to comment on. Public comments can be submitted before the meeting via email to ppacg@ppacg.org for distribution to committee members.
  2. Proclamation Pikes Peak Area Agency on Aging Celebrates 50 Years

  1. Proclamation Pikes Peak Area Agency on Aging 50th Anniversary September 2024 *.  Mr. Jody Barker motioned to approve the Proclamation, the motion passed unanimously.

AGENDA ITEM 6: INFORMATION ITEMS

  1. Presentations
  2. Membership Subcommittee
  3. Strategic Review Subcommittee
    • The committee will meet in the upcoming week to review progress and report back to the State Unit on Aging.
  4. TRS Subcommittee RFP dates and meetings
    • Mr. Jody Barker noted that we may be hearing about carryover in the near future.
  5. AAA Director’s Report
    • Mr. Jody Barker noted the updated rules and regulations happening at the federal and state levels that have come about with input from both Area Agencies on Aging and State Units on Aging nationwide.  At the State level three AAAs met on nutrition guidelines to help with prioritization tools and strategies.  There are candidate forums being hosted statewide and AAA Directors have been asked to participate in these.
  6. RAC Chair Report
    • Chair Stankevich appointed Mr. Gordon Rick to as the TRS Chair for the remainder of the year.
