What is the LRTP?
- Study area is the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) boundary
- Updated every 5 years, includes a forecast period of at least 20 years, and addresses several federal planning priorities (Adoption is due in January 2025)
- Integrates existing plans and studies as well as component plans; does not supersede local plans
- Projects must be consistent with the LRTP and the fiscally constrained project list to be allocated federal funding and move into the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP)
