Site Grading and Lift Station infrastructure is being designed no less than three (3) feet above the 100-yr, 1% Annual Chance Flood Hazard Area water surface elevation.

Lift Station Information
Please describe the period during which service area build-out will occur.: Full build-out is anticipated to occur within five to ten years.
Please describe the flows/loadings expected in the first five years operation. Also provide the flow/loading projections showing projected flow and loading over the following 20 years.: The flows during the first five years are anticipated to reach approximately 80% to 90% of the design flows. The flows are not anticipated to increase beyond 10 years of operation.
Will the proposed lift station replace an existing lift station? If Yes, please describe the current flows and loadings that will be switched to the proposed lift station.: No
Describe emergency back-up system in case of lift station and/or power failure to minimize the possibility of sanitary sewer overflows and health hazards to the public and operations personnel.: Eight (8) hours of emergency storage volume will be provided, and the lift station will be equipped with a fully redundant, built-in spare pump. There will be a back-up generator dedicated to the lift station with an automatic transfer switch to power the lift station in the event of a power failure. The discharge forcemain will be equipped with a bypass connection for portable pump that would pull directly out of the wet well and/or storage tank. A third replacement pump will be inventoried and suitably ready for installation when necessary.

Additional Factors
Please identify any additional factors that might help the Division make an informed decision on your site location application.: The receiving wastewater treatment facility is currently treating approximately 77% of its permitted organic capacity. An application for Site Location Approval for the receiving WWTF has been submitted and approved. The proposed design would increase the organic treatment capacity from 5,230 lbs/day to 5,985 lbs/day. The estimated completion date is December 2019. Upon completion of WWTF expansion, build-out loading from the proposed lift station loading will result in an organic loading of the receiving WWTF equal to approximately 74.8% of its total capacity. Importantly, if WWTF expansion work is not completed, the flow from the proposed lift station would not cause loading of the receiving
wastewater treatment facility to exceed its current permitted capacity.

Note: Projections of flow and loading to the treatment plant over the period during which build out of the service area will occur or twenty years, whichever is less, as well as current and future plant capacity information must be provided to demonstrate the plan for maintaining adequate capacity to treat. Any proposed treatment plant phased construction must be shown in the Water Quality Management Plan or by appropriate planning and engineering studies.
