ACTION REQUESTED: Review & Approve
SUMMARY
Initiated by CDOT and Mountain Metro Transit (MMT) for various project adjustments, an amendment is needed to the FY2025-2029 TIP. The amendment requests from CDOT include removal of median/barrier projects from the TIP and the funding reallocated as the priority/need has changed. A request to add a new project, CO21 Grinnell Blvd. Drainage Repairs, would allow CDOT to program funds to make immediate repairs to a failing culvert. The final two amendment requests are for transparency and come from MMT to add new funding to projects, as well as adjust the name and description of the FASTER Funds set aside TIP project.

BACKGROUND
The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is the four-year program of planned and fiscally constrained transportation projects. Each Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is federally required to develop a TIP. The TIP numbers roll into the STIP (Statewide Transportation Improvement Program). A new TIP is adopted every two years. All transportation projects in an MPO’s metropolitan planning area that seek federal transportation funding must be listed in the TIP and align with the Long-Range Transportation Plan.

Approve the FY 2025-2029 TIP Amendment #1.
