Cover of the Unified Planning Work Program

COLORADO SPRINGS – The Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments is accepting comments on amendment one of the Unified Planning Work Program for federal fiscal years 2026 and 2026. Federal transportation planning regulations require the Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments to develop a Unified Planning Work Program to specify transportation planning activities that will occur within the Metropolitan Planning Area. This includes work tasks that transportation planning staff will complete using federal funding as well as projects to be undertaken by local jurisdictions. This amendment to the Unified Planning Work Program adjusts funding and work tasks for fiscal year 2027.

The draft is available for review through the button at the top of this page. Public comments will be accepted through Sunday, August 9, 2026, and will be accepted through an online form.

All comments received will be made available on the PPACG website after the public comment period ends. The comments received will be reviewed by staff and the PPACG Transportation Advisory Committee, Community Advisory Committee and Board of Directors.
