All classes will be held in a hybrid format, with an in-person option at the Pikes Peak Area Agency on Aging and a virtual option through Microsoft Teams. We welcome and encourage meeting our attendees in person.

Each session begins at 4 p.m.


Sept. 4 – Social Security and Retirement

As you begin to approach retirement, you may see a flood of information that may or may not be fully accurate. The session will attempt to clarify and address specific Social Security topics including benefits calculations, benefit eligibility factors, application process, an overview of all the different benefits Social Security administers and more.

Whether you’re just starting to think about your estate or looking to fine-tune your existing plan, this seminar will provide invaluable guidance on how to safeguard your assets, secure your legacy and provide peace of mind for you and your loved ones.


Sept. 25 – Caregiving with Compassion


Oct. 2 – Medicare 101

This presentation will provide an overview of all things ‘Medicare’, covering the basics of eligibility and enrolling in Medicare A, B and D, as well as the costs, benefits, and explanation of the differences between Medigap and Medicare Advantage Plans. The State Health Insurance Assistance Program is a nation-wide, federally funded program that provides unbiased education and counseling on Medicare and all related coverages.
