SUBJECT: FEDERAL FISCAL YEAR 2024 & FEDERAL FISCAL YEAR 2025 UNIFIED PLANNING WORK PROGRAM AMENDMENT 1 PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD
ACTION REQUESTED: Review & Recommend
SUMMARY
Federal transportation planning regulations require PPACG to develop a Unified Planning Work Program to specify transportation planning activities that will occur within the Metropolitan Planning Area. At a minimum, the UPWP includes a description of the planning work and resulting products, who will perform the work, timeframes for completing the work, the cost of the work, and the source(s) of funds.
Per federal regulations, PPACG develops a new UPWP every two years and updates it in the year in between new UPWPs. This year, we are amending the federal fiscal year 2024 and federal fiscal year 2025 UPWP to account for changes in work tasks and budget. These changes are highlighted in yellow to accommodate easier review.
PPACG is seeking comments on the draft document as well as a recommendation from the Transportation Advisory Committee to the Board of Directors to release the UPWP for public comment.
PROPOSED MOTION
Recommend the Board of Directors approve the release of the UPWP for public comment.
