The map displays bicyclist and pedestrian crashes throughout the Colorado Springs Metropolitan Planning Organization from 2017 to 2021.
The map shows the following number of dots:
- Red circles, indicating a fatal crash: Approximately 45. There are overlapping dots that may make it difficult to perform an exact count based on the map.
- Most of the locations are in the downtown Colorado Springs area and along Academy Boulevard. There is one in Monument, one along U.S. 24 east of Green Mountain Falls, four in the Fountain and Widefield/Security region and one in northeastern Colorado Springs near Dublin Boulevard.
- Orange circles, indicating serious injury: Approximately 92. There are overlapping dots that may make it difficult to perform an exact count based on the map
- Most of the locations are within downtown Colorado Springs and the southern half of a location bounded by Interstate 25 and Academy Boulevard. There are are several locations along Academy Boulevard between Platte Avenue and Austin Bluffs Parkway. There is one each in Woodland Park and Monument,. There are two in northern El Paso County between Interstate 25 and Colorado Highway 83. There are four in the Fountain and Widefield/Security area. The remaining locations are throughout Colorado Springs.
- Green circles, indicating minor injury: Approximately 130. There are overlapping dots that may make it difficult to perform an exact count based on the map.
- Most of the locations are within Colorado Springs. There are four within Woodland Park, two within Monument and approximately 12 within Fountain.
- Gray circles, including property damage only: Approximately 31. There are overlapping dots that may make it difficult to perform an exact count based on the map.
- The locations of these crashes are spread throughout the map.
