2023 Yellow Book

Welcome to the Yellow Book!

A stack of Yellow Books on a table

The Pikes Peak Area Agency on Aging is pleased to present the Senior Information Directory (the “Yellow Book”), a basic resource guide to the many services of interest to older adults and their caregivers in El Paso, Park, and Teller counties.

We suggest that you take a moment to look at the organization of this guide. The Table of Contents (in the front) and the Index (in the back), which lists services by name, will help you find the specific services you need.

The section on Senior Service Organizations contains information on agencies that help meet the special needs of senior citizens, including information about us, the Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments Area Agency on Aging. We help older adults, their caregivers, and service providers with information on just about anything. If you need information about services outside El Paso, Park, or Teller counties, call the National Eldercare Locator at 800-677-1116 or go to www.eldercare.gov.

Our Yellow Book has been published almost every year since 1967. If you have a need or a question that the Yellow Book does not appear to address, call us at (719) 471-2096.

We wish to thank our advertisers and our volunteers. They make it possible for us to publish this directory.

The following notes and tips are provided to help you find the information you need quickly and easily.

  • The services in this directory are listed alphabetically under the type of service.
  • Information and provider listings cover our region: El Paso, Park and Teller counties.
  • We have provided charts for several specific categories, including Apartments, Retirement, Assisted Living (AL)+, Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF), Medical Home Health Care, Non-Medical Home Care, and Hospice agencies.
  • A glossary and list of acronyms commonly used by local, state and federal organizations and agencies has been provided and is located before the Index.

Every attempt has been made to provide current and accurate information; however, all information is subject to change without notice. This includes addresses, phone numbers and business/organization names.
