Community Advisory Committee – Aug. 28, 2024: Fiscal Year 2025 Unified Planning Work Program Amendment

DATE: August 28, 2024

TO: PPACG Community Advisory Committee

FROM: Danelle Miller, Sr Transportation Planner

SUBJECT: FY 2025 UNIFIED PLANNING WORK PROGRAMAMENDMENT 1 PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD

ACTION REQUESTED: Review & Recommend

SUMMARY

Federal transportation planning regulations require PPACG to develop a Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) to specify transportation planning activities that will occur within the Metropolitan Planning Area. At a minimum, the UPWP includes a description of the planning work and resulting products, who will perform the work, timeframes for completing the work, the cost of the work, and the source(s) of funds.

Per federal regulations, PPACG develops a new UPWP every two years and updates it in the year in between new UPWPs. This year, we are amending the federal fiscal year (FFY) 2024 and FFY 2025 UPWP to account for changes in work tasks and budget. These changes are highlighted in yellow in the document to accommodate easier review.

PPACG is seeking comments on the draft document as well as a recommendation from the Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) to the Board of Directors to release the UPWP for public comment.

PROPOSED MOTION

Recommend the Board of Directors approve the release of the UPWP for public comment.
